TEHRAN - Head of Iran football federation, Mehdi Taj, says that Persian Gulf Professional League (PGPL) will restart soon.

The 2025/26 PGPL has been halted for more than one month due to war in Iran.

Soon after, the League was halted because so many foreign coaches and players parted ways with their respective teams.

According to Taj, the remaining matches of the league will be held in a centralized location. 

With eight weeks remaining, Esteghlal lead the table with 41 points, two points above Tractor.
